DBI’s “Cartridges for a Cause” program collects empty ink toner cartridges to help raise funds for the City Rescue Mission of Lansing, a non-profit organization that has provided Lansing’s needy with food, shelter and clothing since 1911. Recycling ink cartridges is not only good for the environment, but allows DBI and our family of customers to take an active role in improving the quality of life in our community.

DBI donated 4139 cartridges to be recycled in 2011 for a total donation of $2202.80. We have donated over $10,000.00 since the beginning of the program in 2003.

Combine all your #1 plastic bottles which includes any container with this symbol and place in your recycling container. DBI will pick up your recycling when we deliver your office supplies.

Battery Recycling Program
DBI makes it easy to do your battery recycling properly. When we deliver your office supplies, we will pick up all your small-size, dry-cell and rechargeable batteries (taped on both ends) and transport them to a local recycling center for proper disposal.
Recycling is the process of taking a product at the end of its useful life and using all or part of it to make another product. The internationally recognized symbol for recycling includes three arrows moving in a triangle. Each arrow represents a different part of the recycling process, from collection to re-manufacture to resale. DBI takes responsibility for recycling the products we sell.
Every product presented on this page meets at least one of the following criteria:
- Energy efficient
- Compostable or biodegradable
- Contains recycled materials
- Nontoxic
- Reusable or refillable
