PROJECT OBJECTIVES: To re-assess the Design Team’s work style and culture to design and create an efficient, effective and healthy workspace complimenting a variety of tasks and work styles. Goals: Integrate existing furniture throughout new floorplan to keep within a budgetary figure; highlight new product trends, keep ergonomics and aesthetics top of mind; create natural spaces for collaboration and impromptu meetings; provide quick access to sample materials and reference
library and incorporate large surfaces into floorplan for drawing layout and finish discussion.
DEFINING THE SCOPE OF WORK: Through extensive work style and culture evaluation, discussion, detailed programming and conceptual development, the individual workstation footprint was reduced, resulting in the availability of additional spaces to accommodate meetings and areas to facilitate finish selection, drawing review and double checks. New stations double the previous tackable and storage space and utilize dual monitor arms . Furthermore, with the reduction in station size and the utilization of shared and centralized storage, the new floorplan addresses the need for touchdown spaces for mobile workers and also allows for future growth and expansion.
