Account Manager II

Basic Function:

Account Manager II responsible for working with project team to provide design and conceptual services to assigned accounts.

Essential Functions

  • Function as a liaison between the project team and the DBI Operations team.
  • Provide ongoing service and problem resolution to assigned customer base.
  • Recommend solutions that are customer-focused and solutions-based.
  • Work closely with Business Development Executive to onboard and nurture all new customers.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
  • Resolve any customer related issues in a timely manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proven ability to create, build, and maintain relationships.
  • Excellent organizational, meeting facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of integrity and business ethics.
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and willing to accept responsibility for results.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to travel daily in assigned territory up to 70% of the time to meet with clients and dealers, with occasional overnight travel.
  • Ability to effectively use office automation, communication, and CRM technology.
  • Ability to perform small purchase requests, seeing entire sales process through.


  • Supports project team in the development of interior design documentation and presentation materials.
  • Assists in material and furniture selections, specifications, space planning and communication with product representatives.
  • Coordinates with other disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical, civil, etc.) to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
  • Ability to perform on-site design services.
  • Work as a contributing team member within a multi-discipline team.
  • Collaborate and manage commercial interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, and design development.
  • Conducts basic interpretations of sketches, drawings, codes, program and other similar material.
  • Must be able to interact successfully with clients to satisfy needs and deadlines by utilizing effective organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Some travel is required and varies depending on client and location.


  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited design school.
  • 2+ years previous successful sales or account management experience preferred.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in the office furniture industry preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
