Basic Function

Responsible for assembly and preparation of office furniture in the course of making deliveries to clients. Also responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the company vehicle(s) and company equipment.

Essential Functions

  • Pick-up and organize paperwork for daily deliveries.
  • Pull product from the warehouse bin location, check for concealed damage and prepare product for delivery.
  • Check paperwork with the product to insure proper order pulled.
  • Blanket wrap the furniture, load onto the truck according to log sheet and secure item(s).
  • Load necessary tools and equipment to accomplish the installation.
  • Travels to customer location to make delivery and installation.
  • Responsible for cleaning the job site after the installation is complete and disposing of any packing materials.
  • Responsible for the upkeep and appearance of warehouse, as well as the upkeep and cleanliness of the parking lot and vehicle.
  • Customer service, pre-project meetings, and document any issues on paperwork.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent, helpful but not required.
  • One year’s experience in the handling furniture, preferred.
  • MDOT medical certificate and valid chauffeur’s license with a clean driving record, required.
  • Must be able to do heavy lifting.
  • Must have good people skills.
  • Good decision-making and communication skills.
