In honor of our 10-year Best In Class Anniversary, we asked our social media followers and customers to submit photos of their outdated, tattered, or just plain ugly office chairs for a chance to win a Design Your Own Haworth Soji Task Chair. Now that we have our contestants it’s time to VOTE! Be sure to share with your friends and track the results!

  Whenever you stand up from sitting in this chair from 2010...you feel like you've been sitting exactly that long! And not to mention 'flakes' of the chair continue to spend the day with you and your vehicle as they stick to everything!

  My chair is actually an old passenger seat out of a 2005 Saturn Ion, which has been attached to a standard rolling seat base. It is not very comfortable, lacks good back support and arm rests, and overall is very heavy and difficult to move around.

  My office "chair" is an item that once belonged to the old Lansing Civic Center and was auctioned off in a lot of unwanted items. There are likely a multitude of reasons that this chair was unwanted by the Lansing Civic Center. Some though that come to the top of my head are the following.
  1.) It is the ugliest shade of taupe that just screams "I once belonged to a Civic Center." (Although if the color did not tip you off as to its origins you could always check the undercarriage where the words "CIVIC CENTER" are stenciled in bold)
  2.) As you can see in the provided photo it has been vandalized. Twice. Once by a gentleman who decided to grace the seat with his birth given name (which I have obscured for the sake of the photo) and then once again by a another wayward civic center traveler who added adjacent to the first man's name the phrase "F*@& that guy" with an arrow arranged appropriately.
  3.) I suspect that the chair was designed for discomfort. Likely to shorten the amount of time anyone would have wanted to linger in the old Civic Center. I sit in it daily as a reminder of my own mortality and to humble myself.
  4.) Lastly the chair is is likely immortal. Its solid steel construction was forged in the fires of municiple hell. It can not be bothered to break from any mortal efforts to do so. (Trust me I have tried) It will remain long offer the reign of man and stand testament to a thousand sore butts that have sat upon it in ages past.
  I know I have likely rambled on far past what you expected from an ugly chair Facebook contest but I knew it was my god given duty to share my story. (Plus I was not stopped at any point by a character limit, so really you brought this on yourselves DBI)

  This is my Boss's chair. He can not understand why I would want to submit a photo of this hot mess. He thinks it's just fine and we shouldn't be spending money on a replacement at this time. He has used this same chair for over 11 years now - can you tell??? I would LOVE to be able to present him with a new chair for his office. He certainly is deserving of this! Thank you!!!

  Blue old chair from 25+ years at this desk and has seen better days.

  My chair is old and worn. There is a bolt holding the height as the adjustment does not work anymore and there is not much cushion left for comfort! (Not to mention, the color leaves a lot to be desired!)

  It's all ripped and wobbily and gives you a backache from being so uncomfortable

  My chair is the worst office chair in history. Not only is the fabric hideous, it has slowly been fraying and now foam is sticking out. But not only is it painful to look at, the inner workings are loose. The chair is wobbly and if I don't sit just so I slowly slide forward in the chair. I would like to win a new chair before I either fall off the chair completely, or am forced to make a slipcover for it.

  The material is peeling off and sheds all over the floor, padding is flat on the seat, roller is broke off and when you lean back to far it tips over, other then that she is a beauty!

  Ed must retire this year, he said.
  After years of providing comfort to cheeks,
  He pleaded "You MUST promptly get a new seat!"
  I asked his advice on the best way to go.

  This stool came with the house. The gallons of gorilla glue holding it together are countless. You may be thinking "looks good to me". I sit here, 8 hours a day, breaking my back and putting my toes to sleep. I just can't afford anything better for myself

  There is no padding left in the seat, not really an office task chair, vinyl peeling off and doesn’t roll very well and marks up the floor!
